The Hockey Foundation in association with Craigs Investment Partners and with the support of Hockey New Zealand are planning a glitzy Gala Dinner to raise funds for the Junior Black Sticks competing at this year’s Junior World Cup.
To be held on 5 July at the Langham Hotel in Auckland, the dinner will include a panel discussion with 1976 gold medal Olympians, fine wines and a three course meal, performances from aspiring musicians, live auctions on unique items PLUS the opportunity to be hosted at your table by a current Black Stick.
These young players are training hard in preparation to take on the best in the world, and we invite you to buy a table, enjoy the evening’s entertainment and help our Juniors realise their dreams.
For hockey followers, this will be a special evening that you just don’t want to miss!

The journey to the Junior World Cup
The women’s Junior World Cup is being held from 27 July – 4 August in Germany and the men’s is in India from the 6-15 December.
A men’s and women’s Junior World Cup Squad will be named on 11 May at the conclusion of the National Under-21 Tournament in Whangarei.
The Junior Black Sticks programme is a key component of Hockey New Zealand’s high performance programme as it produces the next generation of Black Sticks. The programme includes training and development camps, coaching and individualised programmes as well as international competition.
The Hockey Foundation – a charitable trust set up to support the growth and development of hockey in New Zealand – is working on several fundraising projects in 2013 to assist these talented athletes so they get the opportunity to compete at the Junior World Cup. The more money that is able to be raised by the Foundation, the less the financial burden will be for these athletes and their families this year.
