Emily is the most experienced player in the Black Sticks with more than 150 caps. She has been an integral part of the team since her debut as an 18-year-old in 2004. Emily possesses world-class distribution skills, and a courageous and reliable approach in deep defence.
Along with her fellow co-captain Kayla Sharland, Emily is from Palmerston North and they bring invaluable experience to the team after both competing at the Athens and Beijing Olympics.
Emily is a student in her home town when she’s not playing club hockey in the Netherlands which she did for three years from 2008 to 2010.
