So, you want to play the seriously fast, fun and skillful sport of Hockey but aren’t sure where to start?
Maybe you’ve just left school, moved regions or recently arrived in New Zealand.
Anyone can play Hockey - whether you’re a junior, senior, beginner, or future Black Stick. The first step is to join one of the many great Hockey Clubs in New Zealand. These Clubs are affiliated to one of our 32 Regional Hockey Associations throughout the country, who manage the regional delivery of Hockey.
To help you sign up with the Hockey Club nearest you simply follow the hockey balls below.

Then select the region of New Zealand where you currently live OR are moving to live (e.g. Wellington = Lower South Island)

Finally, choose the hockey association nearest you by giving them a call. They can then put you in touch with your local hockey club - EASY!
