Kayla’s finely tuned passing and receiving skills make her a lynch pin of the team. The co-captain is a fantastic leader who draws on all her experience since making her debut in 2003.
Palmerston North born and bred and now studying in Auckland, the hard-working midfielder credits winning bronze at the 2011 Champions Trophy as her career highlight.
The London Olympics will be Kayla’s third after her first appearance in Athens in 2004 as an 18-year-old. She made the World All Stars team in 2010 and played club hockey in the Netherlands in 2008 and 2009.
