1. NATIONAL MASTERS
The 2013 National Masters Hockey Tournament is being hosted by the Auckland Hockey Association, using the turfs at Lloyd Elsmore as the base.
Tournament dates are confirmed as Sunday 3 to Saturday 9 March 2013.

2012
1. The FIH 2012 Masters Hockey World Cup
Incorporates World Grand Masters Assn and International Masters Hockey Assn age groups
This will take place in England between the 13th and 26th August 2012. Exact dates for each tournament are not known yet.
The World Grand Masters World Cup will be played in Oxford; New Zealand has entered a Men's 60+ side.
The International Masters World Cup is to be played in Canterbury, and New Zealand will enter the following teams: Men's 40+, 45+ & 50+, and Women's 40+ & 50+.
2. Oceania Initiative
Following discussions with the Continental Development Officer of the Oceania Hockey Federation, New Zealand has selected, and will send, a Women's 35+ team to Fiji. Exact dates have yet to be confirmed, but early-mid September is the likely timing for the tour.
The Masters Council is pleased to announce the appointment of the following individuals to management roles for NZ Masters teams travelling overseas in 2012:
Men 40+ team: Coach Devan Menon (Canterbury), manager Praveen Menon (Canterbury)
Men 45+ team: Coach Russ Brennan (Waikato), manager Mike Ward (Waikato)
Men 50+ team: Coach Gene Coates-Reid (Tauranga), manager Jeff Garnett (Tauranga)
Women 40+ team: Coach Shelley Moana Hiha (Auckland), manager Jackie Workman (Wellington)
Women 50+ team: Coach Sue McHaffie-Green (Auckland), manager Bridget Daldy (Waikato)
(all the above teams will compete at the International Masters Hockey World Cup, Canterbury, England)
Men 60+ team: Coach Patrick Barry (Nth Harbour), manager Bronwyn Ellison (Nth Harbour)
(this team will compete at the World Grand Masters World Cup, Oxford, England)
Women 35+ team: Coach Doug Sommerville (Waikato), manager Sue Gregory (Waikato)
(this team will tour Fiji)
Graham Jackson will travel as the Chef de Mission for the teams to England.
The Masters Council congratulates these people on their appointment.

Trans Tasman Challenge 2013
This biennial tournament is due to be hosted at a New Zealand venue. An announcement as to the venue will be made by early May 2012.
