1. NATIONAL MASTERS
The 2012 National Masters Hockey Tournament is being hosted by Hockey Manawatu. Matches will be played at the Endeavour Trust Twin Turf in Palmerston North and, if needed, the Halliwell Hockey Turf in Levin.
Tournament dates are confirmed as Sunday 4 to Saturday 10 March 2012.
Individuals interested in umpiring at Tournament should contact Graham Jackson (graham@hockeynz.co.nz or 027 222 4482) for information on how to apply. Thank you for your interest.

1. International Masters Hockey Tournament, Singapore 28 October - 5 November 2011
FINAL RESULTS (updated and corrected)
Men 40+: v Scotland - v Scotland - drew 1-1, v Singapore Dutch - won 5-0, v Malaysia - won 4-1, v Ireland - won 6-1, v England (final, for 1st/2nd) - lost 0-4. Silver medal
Men 45+: v Scotland - v Scotland - won 9-0, v Singapore - won 10-1, v England - drew 2-2, v Australia - won 4-1, v Singapore - won 6-1, v Australia (final, for 1st/2nd) - won, strokes, 5-4. Gold medal
Men 50+: v Malaysia - won 6-3, v Austria - won 9-0, v England - lost 0-4, v Singapore - won 8-0, v Australia - lost 3-5, v Scotland - won 4-1, . Bronze medal
Men 55+: v Singapore - won 3-2, v Scotland - drew 1-1, v Australia - drew 0-0, v England - lost 1-3, v England - lost 1-2. Bronze medal
Men60+: v Australia - lost 0-1, v England - lost 3-4, v Scotland - won 5-1, v Australia - drew 0-0, v England - lost 0-1, v Scotland won 7-0. Bronze medal.
2. The FIH 2012 Masters Hockey World Cup
Incorporates World Grand Masters Assn and International Masters Hockey Assn age groups
This will take place in England between the 13th and 26th August 2012*.
The tournament is to be split over two venues just outside London, England – Oxford and Canterbury. Accommodation will be at the Athletes Village at the University of Kent.
Age Grades will be - Women: Over 40s, 45s, 50s and Men: Over 40s, 45s, 50s, 55s
(* The closing ceremony of the London, 2012, Olympics is 12 August, the opening of the Paralympics is 29 August. NZ teams to be entered will be determined by the Masters Council with playing numbers available for selection - to be called in February 2012 - being an influence on final decisions. To assist in decision making, a short on-line survey is being utilised in late November/early December to get an idea of numbers wishing to attend if selected).
3. Trans Tasman Challenge 2013
This was originally scheduled to be held in 2012, but to realign with other international tournaments, the next tournament is scheduled for 2013 and biennially after that. The 2013 tournament is due to be hosted by a New Zealand venue.
