Player Opportunity - IRELAND
Established in 1894, the club is one of the oldest in Ireland. This season, the club is fielding 5 men's teams and 2 ladies' teams. The youth system is one of the largest in the area and caters for U16s, U14s, U12s, U10s and U8s. With the majority of the juniors going on to join the senior ranks, the club has a very bright future in hockey and expects to expand further in the coming years.
The club is currently looking for players from overseas to play in our men’s section particularly for our men's first team. This Season we brought in players from overseas with great success so the club is very keen to repeat the process. The Standard of hockey is high as you would be playing with and against international players every week. The season starts in August and usually ends in May. The Men's first team competes in the Leinster league along with The Irish Hockey League and Irish Senior Cup which are qualifying events for the Euro Hockey League.
The club has a very active social scene with events taking place each month. It also has one of the youngest first teams in the country.
This season we brought in a player from New Zealand who enjoyed it so much he will be staying on next season. The club will set you up with accommodation and coaching opportunities with our younger teams.
