The staff and Board of Hockey New Zealand have refreshed the Hockey Strategy. This is clearly linked to the Whole of Hockey Plan which was produced in October 2010 and remains an anchor document for the advancement of our sport.

DRAFT POLICE VETTING POLICY AND PROCEDURE - July 2011
A draft policy and procedure template for Associations to use for existing employees, contractors and volunteers and when recruiting volunteers and employees. The purpose of this policy is to contribute to a safe and secure enviorment for the Associations' members, volunteers, employees and contractors. A final template will be available at the conclusion of the HNZ HR Policy and Procedure reveiw.

PLAYER WELFARE RULING - June 2011
A Hockey New Zealand Board adopted new player welfare ruling, with respect to the number of national tournaments a player can compete in. It was agreed that this ruling should be supported with education disseminated by Hockey New Zealand for delivery by the Regions and Associations to all - players, parents, and coaches.
