Stacey Michelsen

BIO:
Stacey is one of the most exciting young talents to ever play for the Black Sticks. This was recognised when she was named World Young Player of the Year in 2011, the first Kiwi to win any of the world player accolades.

At right half, Stacey can cut teams open with her attacking go-forward approach. The team’s co vice-captain has great ball skills and speed which enable her to eliminate players with ease.

Stacey is from Whangarei, but now studies in Auckland. Her younger sister Carli is in the New Zealand development squad.
