ALAN LINTS SNR SCHOLARSHIP
Alan Lints Snr dedicated his life to family and hockey. He was a hockey high achiever. Lints Snr played hockey for Whanganui, NZ Minors and NZ. He also achieved honours for umpiring at one stage being the highest-ranked NZ umpire and received his FIH Badge.
Along with his playing and officiating Lints Snr was awarded the Pakistan Trophy, the ultimate award in New Zealand hockey for services. His lifelong commitment to hockey was unquestionable and his family are proud to remember him with this annual scholarship.
APPLICANT CRITERIA
Applicant must be an under 19 (as per HNZ rules for age) male umpire;
Must be recognised by applicant’s Association as showing talent;
Must be able to show what educational purposes the scholarship will be used for and send receipts of costs after the grant of the scholarship;
Must be able to confirm they are disadvantaged by distance travelled or by financial position.
Applications for this scholarship close at 7:00pm on Monday April 15, 2024. The recipients will be notified by email in early May.
