FORD NATIONAL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Ford National Hockey Championships (NHC) is Hockey New Zealand’s open age domestic representative tournament, bringing together the best association teams from across the country to compete. Played annually, the week-long championship sees men's and women's teams compete across multiple tiers, creating high-quality competition while providing opportunities for promotion and relegation between divisions. The event celebrates regional pride and rivalry, with players representing their local associations on the national stage. In 2025, the championship featured 47 teams and approximately 925 players from throughout New Zealand.
