BHV Push Breda, Breda, The Netherlands6 – 16 August 2026

Hockey New Zealand will be entering teams across all age groups and genders where there is a suitable number and quality of players registering their availability.

We are now seeking expressions of interest from players who wish to be considered for selection in a New Zealand team to compete at the appropriate Tournament.  As part of the registration process, a non-refundable registration fee of $65 will be payable. This fee will be used to help offset the administration and associated costs of independent selectors and the expenses associated with running a selection weekend in November 2025..

A selection weekend for all age groups is planned for North Harbour early in November (likely dates are 7 - 9 November 2025 but still need to be confirmed).

To be eligible for selection, you must register through this EOI and ideally play in the selection weekend.  You will also be considered if you play at the National Masters Tournament in North Harbour in February.

If you’re unable to play in either event but still want to be considered for selection, you’ll need to apply to Hockey New Zealand (masters@hockeynz.co.nz) for a dispensation.

Squads will be selected and named after the selection weekend with the final travelling teams to be confirmed after National Masters  Tournament in February 2026.

Players selected for the World Cup will be required to arrive at the tournament location three days prior to the dates listed above, stay at the accommodation arranged by Hockey New Zealand and pay the associated costs for the event.

The budget for these events haven’t been finalised, however preliminary indications are $3,500. Hockey New Zealand will do all it can to reduce this amount but prospective players should factor this amount into their calculations.  Travel arrangements to and from each location are the responsibility of the selected players and the costs are additional to the budget estimation above.
