The tournament will provide the selected players with international matches, ensuring the players remain in a competitive environment and will serve as a check point for not only personal development but those returning from injury allowing them to benchmark their readiness for international hockey again. It will also help bolster the depth of our Vantage Black Sticks (VBS) women’s programme.

Head Coach, Danielle Cranston, is excited to lead the team and says, “This is an incredible opportunity for our players to get some international experience to help them further develop and bridge the gap between our National team.”

We’re grateful to our hosts in China for their financial support of this event, which underscores the spirit of international collaboration within our hockey community and are looking forward to watching the girls compete together soon.
