THE COUNTDOWN IS ON TO BOTH MEN’S & WOMEN’S FIH NATIONS CUP

In just five days, the Vantage Black Sticks Women will launch their 2026 FIH Nations Cup campaign at home in Auckland, taking on some of the world’s best hockey nations as they fight for back-to-back championships.

The Vantage Black Sticks Men will also commence their 2026 FIH Nations Cup campaign in South Africa as reigning back-to-back champions, looking to defend their title for a third consecutive year.

Whether you're planning to be in the stands in Auckland or watching from home, there are plenty of ways to get behind New Zealand hockey's biggest week of the year.

HOME TOURNAMENT FOR THE VANTAGE BLACK STICKS WOMEN

From 15–21 June, Auckland's North Harbour Hockey Centre will host the 2026 FIH Hockey Women's Nations Cup, bringing eight international teams together for New Zealand's biggest international hockey event since 2017.

The Vantage Black Sticks Women enter the tournament as defending champions and will be looking to go back-to-back in front of a passionate home crowd.

VANTAGE BLACK STICKS MEN CHASING HISTORY IN SOUTH AFRICA

The Vantage Black Sticks Men arrived in Cape Town, South Africa, and have started their preparations aiming to become the first team to win three consecutive FIH Nations Cup titles.

After lifting the trophy in both 2024 and 2025, the men enter the tournament as the team to beat and will once again face strong international opposition in Pool A.

All Vantage Black Sticks Men's matches will be available on delayed coverage through TVNZ+, airing the following morning, with one exception: New Zealand vs Malaysia, Tuesday 16 June, 10:15pm NZT, will be LIVE on TVNZ+
